Two arrests after cannabis found in bicycle bags in Sint-Niklaas
Officers in Sint-Niklaas discovered a large quantity of cannabis on Saturday evening during a check in the Peter Benoitpark. The drugs were concealed in the bags of a bicycle that was at the location.
Shortly afterwards, police found two individuals in the vicinity who could be linked to the drugs discovery. The two were arrested and placed in custody. They were subsequently handed over to the East Flanders prosecutor's office, which is now continuing the investigation.
The intervention took place as part of a police check in the park.
