On 1 November 2025, two young Frenchmen were caught out on the car park of the Cap'tain in La Glanerie. They had cocaine to sell, but their potential customers turned out to be plainclothes police officers.
"Salut les gars, vous cherchez quelque chose ?" This is how the two suspects greeted the officers. The police quickly realised what was going on. When arrested, a total of 9.78 grams of narcotics were found in their possession.
Before the court, the two attempted to present their own stories. Jordan, 19 years old, claimed to have found the drugs while tying his shoelaces. "I found this when I left the nightclub," he said. "I wanted to sell these products, it was a bit stupid."
However, his co-accused Axel, 23, had given a completely different version during the judicial investigation. He had stated that Jordan had told him he had come with his own personal supply and that he had "too much" on him. This was how the idea to sell the excess had come about. Before the court, however, Axel withdrew this statement. "I don't remember saying this to the investigators at all," he claimed. In reality, it was Axel himself who had offered the cocaine to the officers.
The public prosecutor was convinced that the two had come from France with the drugs and intended to make some money. "They wanted to try. The defendants have no criminal record and I do not oppose the granting of a suspended sentence," the prosecutor said.
Both young men therefore requested a suspended sentence. They were not opposed to potentially performing community service.
