A uniformed officer accused of participating in the homicide of former Senasag director was granted detention in his home and without authorisation to work.

A member of the National Police who appears in the investigation into the death of former Senasag director Mauricio Aramayo has been placed under house arrest, with no possibility of carrying out work functions. The measure was confirmed by Alex Escobar, who heads the Felcc on an interim basis.
The official in question, David Alejandro Herrera, was charged in two bail hearings for the offences of complicity, criminal association and failure to fulfil obligations. To monitor his compliance, the Public Ministry's Roma-Argo system is used, which operates as a real-time monitoring mechanism designed to ensure that the defendant respects the restrictions imposed by the judge.
The Public Ministry representative in Tarija, José Ernesto Mogro, clarified that Herrera was identified by José Antonio Gumucio, nicknamed "Gumito". According to the latter's statement, the police officer knew days in advance that the crime was going to be committed, as the action was planned beforehand. Furthermore, once the attack was carried out, the uniformed officer allegedly provided information about ongoing investigations in order to facilitate the escape of those who carried out the murder.
In this case there are five people involved: three are held in preventive detention at Morros Blancos penitentiary and two have alternatives to prison. However, Mijail Rodríguez, known as "El Tuerto", has not yet been located. He is attributed with intellectual authorship of the homicide. This individual is involved in cereal smuggling and maintained a close relationship with the ruler Rodrigo Paz Pereira, for whom he even coordinated proselytising activities.
