Arrest for double crime in Santa Cruz: those implicated allegedly have ties to the PCC

Three men—two Brazilian citizens and a Bolivian—were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the double murder that occurred on 20 October in the Valle Sánchez neighbourhood, Santa Cruz, reported lapatria.bo. The general commander of the Police, Adrián Álvarez, confirmed the detention and noted that investigations point to links with transnational organised crime.

The apprehended individuals were identified as Enrique A.J., aged 25, and Daniel G.M., aged 28, both of Brazilian nationality, and Marco Antonio R.S., aged 59, Bolivian. According to Álvarez, the three have criminal records in Brazil for drug trafficking, criminal organisation and contract killing, and are linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).

The attack and evidence found

The crime occurred when two armed individuals, their faces covered and dressed in military clothing, entered a property in Valle Sánchez and shot the victims repeatedly. During raids conducted at two properties where the suspects lived, police officers found two pistols and 16 bullets corresponding to the weapons used on the day of the incident.

"Those arrested today were the ones who perpetrated the double murder on 20 October," declared Álvarez, cited by Unitel. The commander added that the suspects altered the characteristics of the vehicle they used in order to conceal their involvement in the crime.

Investigation into drug trafficking

Álvarez attributed the motive for the double homicide to activities linked with the illegal trafficking of controlled substances. The conclusions of the investigations will be sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office so that corresponding legal action can continue.
