17-year-old arrested for 9 burglaries in Nicosia – damages of €6,000
A 17-year-old minor was remanded in custody for nine burglaries in Nicosia between 28 May and 4 June 2026. He stole €3,000 and caused €6,000 in damages.

Juvenile burglar in Nicosia: 9 thefts in one week
According to Philenews, a 17-year-old was arrested today, 6 June 2026, pursuant to a court warrant and remanded in custody to facilitate an investigation concerning nine burglary and theft cases in Nicosia.
The offences were committed between 28 May and 4 June 2026. During these incidents, approximately €3,000 in cash and various items were stolen, whilst damage to properties amounted to approximately €6,000.
During a search of the minor's residence, a helmet, gloves and cash were found. The 17-year-old, during questioning, reportedly admitted to committing the burglaries.
He is expected to be brought before the District Court of Nicosia tomorrow for the issue of a remand order. The Nicosia Police continues its investigations.
