25 kilograms of cannabis in suitcase: arrest at Larnaca airport
A 40-year-old man was arrested on Saturday at Larnaca airport with 25 kilograms of cannabis in a suitcase. He was remanded in custody for eight days.
Arrest in Larnaca following discovery of 25 kilograms of cannabis in luggage
According to Cyprus Mail, a 40-year-old man was arrested on Saturday at Larnaca airport after arriving on an international flight carrying 25 kilograms of cannabis in his suitcase.
The narcotic substance was detected during luggage inspection at approximately 3.30 in the morning. The cannabis was stored in two nylon packages which comprised the entire contents of the suitcase.
The man was arrested immediately following the discovery and was brought before the court the same Saturday morning, where he was remanded in custody for eight days.
Police are continuing their investigations into the case.
