A 47-year-old man is hospitalised in serious but stable condition at Nicosia General Hospital, following an attack by a group of unknown assailants in Ayia Napa in the early hours of Sunday.
According to police, the man was found injured on a road in Ayia Napa at approximately 6:00 a.m., after police received information about the incident. He was initially transferred to Famagusta General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed a cerebral haemorrhage and a fracture to the base of the skull.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the 47-year-old was intubated and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Police have collected testimonies indicating that the man was attacked by a group of unknown individuals. Investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators are ongoing.
