Bloody brawl involving 15-20 people in Xylofagou — Perpetrators sought
A violent group brawl broke out in Xylofagou in the early hours of Thursday, involving approximately 15 to 20 people, according to a police announcement.
Specifically, police forces were called to the scene at around 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of an incident. However, by the time the authorities arrived, those involved had fled.
According to witness accounts, those participating in the brawl were hurling stones and were armed with batons, hammers, knuckledusters and knives.
Investigators conducted extensive searches in the area and collected evidence that will be examined. A vehicle was also located at the scene which is believed to have been used by one of those involved.
No arrests have been made so far, and police have not released information to the public regarding any injuries.
Investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances of the incident, locate the perpetrators and establish the reasons that caused the clash.
