An 18-year-old man was arrested by authorities at Larnaca airport on Monday shortly after 2 p.m., bringing to four the number of people being held in connection with a savage assault in Ayia Napa.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the Ammochostos area. The 47-year-old Turkish Cypriot who was attacked is hospitalised on a ventilator at Nicosia General Hospital.
Prior to the latest arrest, three other suspects, all 18 years old and of Swedish origin, had already been brought before the Ammochostos District Court, which issued eight-day detention orders against them. All three are facing charges of causing grievous bodily harm.
Ammochostos CID continues to investigate the case.
