Police arrested a man inside Limassol's courthouse after finding bullets in his bag.
43-year-old man held in custody in Limassol for illegal possession of ammunition
Yesterday afternoon, at the District Court of Limassol, police arrested a 43-year-old man. Initial checks at the entrance of the building revealed suspicious items inside the bag he was carrying.
During the search, police found 13 bullets of 9 millimetre calibre. The arrested man made certain claims, which are being examined by the prosecuting authorities. Subsequently, searches were carried out on his motorcycle and at his residence, with nothing else illegal being found.
The 43-year-old was transferred to the CID Limassol offices, where he is being held pursuant to a warrant. The Crime Investigation Department is continuing the investigation into the case.
