A 23-year-old was found with injuries to the abdominal area in an open space in the Kato Polemidia area of Limassol, shortly before 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police.
The wounds appear to have been caused by a sharp object. The victim was transferred by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
The circumstances under which the 23-year-old was injured remain unclear and investigations are continuing.
