In the early morning hours, a resident in Limassol observed a person moving suspiciously in the courtyard of a neighbouring property and called the authorities.
Police arrived quickly at the scene and found a 35-year-old man in the courtyard. When they searched his belongings, they discovered objects used for breaking into properties. The arrested man provided no satisfactory explanation for how the items came to be in his possession.
The 35-year-old is accused of unlawful entry onto someone else's property and of possessing objects used in burglaries. He will be presented before a judge today for immediate trial.
The Limassol Police Department is conducting further investigations.
