A 65-year-old man fell victim to a violent attack, abduction and theft in Larnaca province, according to Philenews.
The victim himself filed a complaint with the prosecuting authorities. As he reported, on Monday he had an appointment with three people in the area. Two of them were known to him, a 32-year-old and a 42-year-old. During the meeting, the older of the two attacked the elderly man, beat him and took €300, his mobile phone and his car keys.
Immediately afterwards, the three of them allegedly forced him into a vehicle driven by a third person, unknown to the victim and their accomplice. They transported him to a storage facility maintained by the 65-year-old in a community in the area. There, the attackers took the victim's car keys, placed various items from the premises inside his vehicle and disappeared.
The investigation led to arrest warrants for the 32-year-old and the 42-year-old. Officers from Nicosia TAE located them in the capital and arrested them. A 44-year-old was also apprehended with them, who was found to be the third accomplice described by the victim.
The three detainees are expected to be brought before the Larnaca District Court for the issuance of a detention order. Kofinou Police Station is handling the case.
