The individual is a seventeen-year-old youth who was being held in connection with an investigation into theft from a person and the unlawful acquisition of goods.
A special crisis management centre has already been established, whilst investigations and examinations are underway aimed at locating and recapturing the escapee.
In parallel, the competent services are examining how the escape from the detention facility became possible.
