Former President Nicos Anastasiades was formally informed of the findings by the Anti-Corruption Authority regarding allegations contained in the book "Mafia State" by journalist Makarios Drousiotis.

On Tuesday morning, former President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades formally received the conclusions of an investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Authority into allegations made against him in the book Mafia State by journalist Makarios Drousiotis, who previously served as his adviser. The briefing was conducted by the head of the Authority, Charis Pogiatzis, whilst other parties involved mentioned in the written work were notified via email.
The findings were expected to be made public at 11:00 in the morning. According to reports, the investigation file reaches 3,000 pages.
During the investigation, 200 testimonies were taken from 150 persons, whilst 793 pieces of evidence were gathered.
Mr Anastasiades has rejected all the allegations contained in the particular edition. In response, he published his own book titled The Slanderer.
