Police made a second arrest of a 42-year-old man in connection with an attempted robbery at a bank branch in Larnaca on 19 June.

Police authorities proceeded on 13 July to arrest a 42-year-old man following a court warrant. The man was arrested in connection with an attempted robbery that took place on 19 June at a bank branch within the Larnaca district. The same suspect is also accused of theft of vehicle registration plates, which is alleged to have been committed on the same date in the same district.

In connection with the same case, a second person, a 41-year-old man, had been arrested on 11 July, also by court order. Kition Police Station has taken over the investigation of the case.

Both arrested persons are currently being held, while their involvement is also being investigated in an attempted robbery at a gold shop, which was committed in the Larnaca district.
