Second arrest over theft of bronze figures from heroes' monument in Limassol

A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday as the second suspect in the case of the removal of bronze relief figures and inscriptions from a heroes' monument in Germasogeia, Limassol. His arrest followed evidence that emerged during the investigation.

The initial theft was reported on 21 March by a municipal employee. Already on 25 March, a 35-year-old man had been arrested after authorities found him in possession of one of the stolen items. The case against him is pending before the Limassol District Court.

The second suspect is expected to be brought before court on Wednesday. Limassol CID continues its investigation for a full clarification of the incident.
