Two youths, aged 15 and 17, are in custody following a police operation connected to a nighttime break-in at an electronics shop in the capital.

A 43-year-old shop owner reported to authorities that unknown individuals had entered his shop during the night. The report was made at around 9.00 in the morning.

In the subsequent investigation, evidence emerged against the two youths. The suspects were located during the day and led police officers to the location where they had hidden the stolen items. An examination found 19 mobile phones and one smartwatch.

The arrest of the two minors took place shortly after 1.00 p.m. for unlawful possession of property. They are expected to be brought before Nicosia District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
