Police arrested a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who were wanted for the removal of a bronze artwork from a park in Fassoula. They were located on 6 July whilst travelling in a vehicle that had been stolen in Paphos.

A 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been taken into custody as they are involved in a case concerning the removal of a bronze artwork from a sculpture park in Fassoula, Limassol. The incident was reported on 24 June 2026, whilst the artwork is understood to have disappeared on 20 of the same month.

Officers had issued arrest warrants following evidence that emerged during the investigation. On 6 July 2026, a member of the force patrolling a village in the wider Limassol area located the two individuals. During a check it was established that the vehicle they were using had been reported stolen two weeks earlier, on 22 June, in the Paphos district.

The couple appeared before the Limassol District Court, where the judge ordered their remand in custody for one week. The city's CID is conducting further investigation.
