Police have arrested two young men, aged 19 and 20, for a robbery at a bakery in Limassol in the early hours of Friday.

Two young men, aged 19 and 20, are in custody for a robbery committed at a bakery in Limassol in the early morning hours of Friday. Investigators located them following information that came into their possession.
Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of items connected with the incident. During interrogation, the two suspects made certain claims, which are being examined. Nevertheless, investigators consider the case to have been solved.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 in the morning, when a delivery driver arrived at the store and saw a hooded person inside the premises attempting to remove the cash drawer.
The driver, with the assistance of a shop employee, attempted to immobilise the perpetrator, but the latter managed to escape while holding the cash drawer, which contained approximately 300 euros.
According to information released by police, a second person was waiting outside the bakery on a motorcycle. The two perpetrators fled together in an unknown direction.
The two arrested individuals are expected to be brought before court, where police will seek their remand in custody. Investigations are continuing.
