A car belonging to a 23-year-old woman was set ablaze in the early hours in Nicosia, with authorities investigating the possibility of criminal activity. The incident occurred at approximately 01:30, whilst the vehicle was parked in the Agioi Omologites area.
Firefighters attended the scene and managed to extinguish the flames. Despite their efforts, the vehicle suffered complete destruction.
Police officers attended the scene to investigate the circumstances. From initial examinations, there were indications that the fire was not accidental but was caused by deliberate action.
The scene has remained cordoned off until this morning in order to conduct further examinations and determine the exact causes that led to the ignition. Authorities continue their investigation to identify those responsible.
