A 43-year-old was taken for questioning at the Anti-Crime Office following the discovery of 13 bullets in his bag during a security check at the courthouse building.

On Tuesday 14 July, whilst passing through a security check at the entrance to the Criminal Court of Limassol, security personnel discovered a suspicious object in a bag being carried by a 43-year-old.

Following further investigation by those responsible, it was confirmed that the bag contained 13 bullets. The discovery caused disruption in the area, whilst police officers from the Anti-Crime Office arrived immediately at the scene.

The suspect was taken to the offices of the Anti-Crime Office for questioning. The prosecution authorities are investigating how the bullets came to be in his possession, as well as the reason he was carrying them.
