The Ammochostos District Court sentenced a 25-year-old woman to six months' imprisonment for possession of nitrous oxide and illegal residence in Cyprus.

The Ammochostos district court imposed a six-month prison sentence on a young woman aged 25 following her conviction for possession of a controlled substance and illegal residence in the country.
The arrest of the defendant was carried out on 9 June of the current year. During the investigation, the authorities found in her possession a metal cylinder, sixty-four unused nitrous oxide capsules, sixty-eight balloons and cash totalling one hundred euros.
Additionally, checks revealed that the 25-year-old did not have a valid permit to reside on the island.
