Three unknown assailants attacked a 23-year-old food delivery driver in the Kato Polemidia area of Limassol, injuring him with sticks and stealing his motorcycle, €100 and two mobile phones.
Assault and robbery of young delivery driver in Limassol
A 23-year-old working as a food delivery driver fell victim to a violent assault and robbery last night in the Kato Polemidia area of Limassol. The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m.
According to the investigation by the prosecution authorities, the young man was on his two-wheeled motorcycle when three unknown individuals approached him. The three perpetrators attacked the delivery driver, striking him with sticks. After injuring him, they took his motorcycle, money totalling one hundred euros and two smartphones, before disappearing from the scene of the incident.
The 23-year-old was transferred to Limassol hospital for medical treatment. Doctors identified injuries to his stomach and right limb. After he was provided with the necessary care, he was discharged.
During a subsequent search, the authorities located the victim's motorcycle abandoned in an open space within the city.
The Limassol Investigation Department is conducting inquiries to locate and arrest the perpetrators.
