A young man from Israel was arrested following a stabbing incident outside a bar in Ayia Napa. Two security guards and one customer were injured.

Arrests were made this morning in the Famagusta district following a violent incident that erupted in the early hours near a nightlife venue. A 21-year-old from Israel is in custody, facing charges of attempted murder.
The incident occurred around 4:30 am, when the foreigner and a 22-year-old companion had a heated altercation with a local resident. Two members of the venue's security personnel attempted to intervene to resolve the dispute. According to information published by the Politis website, at that point the Israeli man allegedly pulled out a sharp object and attacked all three people present, while his companion was also injured.
Of the four who required medical care, one security guard was stabbed in the abdomen and underwent surgery. The second security staff member was wounded in the right leg. The young man initially involved in the altercation suffered blunt force trauma. The attacker's friend was struck on the head.
When police arrived at the scene, the 21-year-old allegedly insulted them. As a result, the charges against him were added to include the criminal offences of provoking unease, disturbing the peace and public insult.
All the injured were taken to Famagusta General Hospital. The condition of the 22-year-old with injuries from the sharp object is described as critical. A 25-year-old and a 41-year-old are sustaining lighter injuries. The second 22-year-old is hospitalised with wounds to the face and head.
In a search conducted by the prosecuting authorities at the scene, a blade was discovered and seized as evidence.
The Famagusta Crime Investigation Department is conducting the investigation.
