Paphos District Court has ordered the six-day remand of a 41-year-old man following his arrest in connection with a case involving child sexual abuse material.
Police made the arrest on Monday afternoon following information that reached the authorities. According to the details, the holder of a profile on an internet messaging application had sought material depicting the abuse of minors.
This was followed by a search of the suspect's residence, which was carried out pursuant to a court warrant. During the search, authorities located and seized a laptop computer, three mobile phones and two external hard drives.
The discovery of the electronic devices was made as part of the preliminary investigation being conducted into the case.
