Six people were arrested for theft and burglary, whilst 326 drivers were cited in extensive checks carried out by police across the island.

Strong police forces were mobilised across the entire Republic during the night, carrying out systematic patrols at critical points in urban centres.
The result of the operations was the apprehension of six people, who face charges for various criminal offences, including burglary and theft.
As part of the operation, 480 private vehicles were stopped for inspection and 628 people were checked — drivers and passengers. At the same time, 37 premises inspections resulted in four citations.
From traffic checks, 326 violations emerged. Of these, 120 concerned driving at speeds exceeding the permitted limit. In 61 breathalyser tests, no positive samples were detected. Eight vehicles were impounded.
The targeted operations of the police continue with undiminished intensity, for the benefit of social cohesion and the safety of the population.
