Six arrests in overnight police operations in Cyprus
Six people were arrested in overnight operations for car theft, illegal residence and drug possession. A total of 446 drivers and 131 passengers were checked at various locations.

Six arrests following overnight checks — theft, drugs and illegal residence
According to the Cyprus Mail, six people were arrested during overnight police operations for offences including car theft, illegal residence in Cyprus without the necessary documents, and possession of narcotic substances.
Officers carried out patrols at various locations, checking 446 drivers and 131 passengers, whilst inspecting a total of 38 establishments.
The traffic checks resulted in 246 referrals for various violations, with 14 cases under investigation. A total of 68 drivers were charged for exceeding the speed limit and eight vehicles were seized.
Police officers conducted 162 breathalysers, with one positive result. Three people were charged with driving under the influence of drugs following initial examinations. One of the six arrests involved an assault on a police officer.
