Woman accused of murdering husband surrendered to police in occupied territories

According to Philenews, a woman was placed in three-day "custody" on Sunday in occupied territories, suspected of murdering her husband whilst he slept. She was surrendered to "police" following the commission of the crime.

Before the "district court" of Nicosia, the "police investigator" of the case stated that the murder took place on Saturday at 10:30 pm in Gerolakko. The accused, E.T., is accused of stabbing her husband, J.I.T., multiple times in the neck, waist and back whilst he slept in their bedroom.

The weapon used was a dagger with a blade measuring 11 centimetres in length, which the accused had taken from the kitchen of the house. According to the "police investigator", the motive for the act was her belief that her husband was going to deprive her of her possessions.

The "judge" granted the "police" request for three-day "custody" and simultaneously ordered medical examinations to be conducted on the accused. The case has attracted widespread coverage and commentary in occupied territories.
