Four people have been sentenced to prison terms for human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation of a young woman in Limassol.

Four defendants have been convicted by the district court of Limassol in a case of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
Two of them, each aged 34, received a prison sentence of five years. The other two, aged 29 and 50 respectively, were punished with imprisonment of 18 and 9 months.
The case began following information that reached the anti-trafficking unit. During the investigation, a 24-year-old woman was identified as a victim of exploitation by the convicted persons. The offences are reported to have been committed during the period between August 2022 and May 2023.
