Police and customs officers discovered over 66 kilograms of shisha tobacco and hundreds of cigarette cartons in a parked vehicle. The vehicle and goods were confiscated.

Seizure of untaxed tobacco products in Agia Napa
A check on a parked vehicle in Agia Napa led to the discovery of a significant quantity of untaxed tobacco products. The operation was carried out by police officers in cooperation with customs officials, as part of measures against illegal trade in such products.
Following an assessment of information, a search was conducted on the vehicle which was located in a public car park. Inside, more than sixty-six kilograms of shisha tobacco and several hundred cigarette cartons were found, for which the corresponding taxes and duties had not been paid.
The vehicle and the products that were found have been confiscated by the Customs Department. The Police Station in the area is continuing investigations into the case jointly with customs officials.
