Four suspects are being held in connection with drug trafficking in Famagusta district, after authorities discovered large quantities of cannabis on agricultural land.
Four arrested in cannabis case in Famagusta
A total of four suspects are being held by authorities in connection with a case involving drug trafficking in the Famagusta area. The investigation began after significant quantities of cannabis were discovered on a property in the district.
During the investigation, the prosecuting authorities found over 6 kilogrammes of cannabis resin, along with one kilogramme of synthetic cannabis KIEF. The 35-year-old who was arrested was presented before the Famagusta District Court, which issued an order for his four-day detention.
Three other people, aged 49, 37 and 28, are also involved in the same case and are likewise being held in custody.
