Police in Limassol arrested a 39-year-old man, a former executive of a company, in connection with an investigation into theft, fraud and money laundering. These offences are alleged to have occurred in the city between 2023 and 2026.

His employer reported to the authorities that the suspect had removed a total of €610,215 from the business during the period he worked there. Furthermore, according to the same complaint, the man — despite already being dismissed — signed documents for the customs clearance of a lifting machine on behalf of the company, without having the authority to do so.

Following the issuance of a relevant warrant, the 39-year-old was arrested and the case is now being investigated by the Limassol Financial Crimes Unit.
