A 53-year-old Lithuanian has filed an appeal in France against a decision to extradite her to the Republic of Cyprus in connection with a case of appropriation of Greek-Cypriot properties in occupied territories.

A 53-year-old woman from Lithuania, who works as a real estate agent, has filed an appeal with the French judicial authorities against a decision to hand her over to the Cypriot authorities. The appeal concerns a warrant issued by Nicosia in connection with the case of appropriation of Greek-Cypriot properties in territories under Turkish occupation.
The woman was arrested at an airport in Nice in France, as she was about to travel with her daughter. The arrest took place under a European warrant issued by the Republic of Cyprus.
According to information reported by CIPA and a report in the newspaper Kípris, the accused resides and practises her profession in occupied territories.
The hearing of the appeal is estimated to take between two weeks and one month.
