As part of a case concerning unlawful possession of psychotropic substances in Limassol, for which two individuals aged 28 and 23 years have been in custody since 2 July 2026, additional quantities were recently discovered.

The Anti-Narcotic Service (ANS) evaluated information and subsequently instructed police from the British bases in Limassol to conduct a search in an area controlled by the bases. The operation was carried out on the same day.

During the operation, authorities discovered further substances. Following a request from Cypriot authorities, the findings were handed over today to the ANS by police from the British bases for further investigation.

The two suspects, aged 28 and 23 years, were arrested again under court warrants. They are expected to appear tomorrow morning at the Limassol District Court for the issuance of detention orders.
