Limassol Court has ordered four nights of custody for a young suspect alleged to have injured a 19-year-old with a sharp object.

In the early hours of Friday, a violent incident broke out between two young men in Limassol, during which a 19-year-old was injured by a sharp object. The incident took place shortly after 1:30am in an outdoor area of a property, according to what the victim told police.
The 19-year-old was taken to a private clinic. Doctors established cutting wounds to the head and shoulder area. Despite the severity of the injuries, his condition is considered stable and he is not in danger. He remains for further observation.
Authorities obtained a warrant against a 20-year-old. He was arrested and appeared before the District Court of Limassol, which approved his detention for four days to facilitate the investigation.
The local investigation department is conducting further enquiry into the causes and circumstances of the altercation.
