Nicosia court ordered the remand of a 29-year-old man for three days on Sunday. The man is alleged to have fired a flare at a police officer who was attempting to arrest him during incidents at GSP stadium.

His arrest took place late on Saturday afternoon, following disturbances that occurred on Friday night during the Cup final. This is the second person to be arrested in connection with the events of the match.

Earlier, a 19-year-old had been arrested the same night when police officers discovered in his car, parked at the stadium, five fireworks, thirteen crackers and eight flares. He was brought before Nicosia District Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody for four days.
