In the early morning hours of Sunday, police officers discovered a 47-year-old man seriously beaten on a street in Agia Napa. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m., following a relevant report.
The injured man was initially transferred to Ammochostos General Hospital. There, doctors established that he had suffered a brain haemorrhage and a fracture at the base of the skull. Due to the critical nature of his condition, he was intubated and hastily transferred to Nicosia General Hospital. His treating doctors describe him as being in a stable but critical condition.
According to witness testimonies gathered during the police investigation, the man was attacked by a group of individuals who remain unknown. The motives and circumstances of the attack are under investigation.
The Ammochostos Investigation and Research Department has undertaken the investigation of the incident.
