A corpse in a state of advanced decomposition was found in a flat in a residential building in Larnaca, following a complaint about an unpleasant smell from the premises.

A corpse in a state of advanced decomposition was found in a flat in a residential building in Larnaca, following a complaint about an unpleasant smell from the premises.
As announced by the Police, officers were deployed today, Monday 8 June, to a residential building in the city. With the assistance of the Fire Service, the flat was opened following relevant information that had been received.
Inside the premises, a deceased person was found in advanced decomposition. The authorities are conducting the necessary procedures in accordance with protocol, whilst examinations are being carried out to establish the identity of the victim.
Investigations are ongoing and will be concluded in a subsequent phase.
