Police arrested a 21-year-old in Larnaca during a random check, finding cannabis, cocaine and a precision electronic scale in his possession.

Police in Larnaca proceeded with the arrest of a 21-year-old man on Saturday morning, following a check on a motorcycle without registration plates. During the subsequent search, 18 packages of dried cannabis with a total net weight of 78 grammes were found in the vehicle, one package of cocaine weighing 3 grammes, as well as a precision electronic scale.
The young driver was detained and taken to Larnaca Police Station for questioning, with charges including possession of narcotics with intent to supply. In addition, it was established that he was driving without a driving licence and without insurance coverage. A drugs test conducted at the scene came back positive.
Beyond the criminal offences related to drugs, the suspect faces administrative penalties for violations of the Road Traffic Code. The case is being investigated jointly by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (YKAN) and Larnaca Police Department.
