21-year-old arrested in Paralimni for cocaine possession
A young man was arrested by police in Paralimni following an operation by the Drug Enforcement Service. Drugs, cash and mobile phones were seized.

21-year-old arrested in Paralimni for cocaine possession
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Service conducted an operation yesterday in Famagusta province, resulting in the arrest of a 21-year-old man. The arrested person faces charges of unlawful possession of substances for the purpose of distribution to another person.
The operation took place in the afternoon, at approximately 6 p.m., in an open area in the Paralimni region. Officers spotted the young man riding a motorcycle and collecting various objects from the ground. Police proceeded to conduct an immediate search.
In the area where the 21-year-old was located, the authorities found and seized equipment and substances. Specifically, a precision scale was seized, a plastic container that contained cocaine, as well as two plastic bags with the same substance. The total weight of the cocaine reached 11 grammes.
Additionally, during a search of the young man's motorcycle, a shoulder bag containing cannabis weighing two grammes was found, the cash amount of €3,960 in notes, as well as two mobile phones.
The Drug Enforcement Service's local team in Famagusta has assumed responsibility for investigating the case.
