Arrest of 36-year-old man for attempted explosive destruction in Paphos
Police have arrested a second suspect, a 36-year-old man, in connection with an attempted destruction of property using explosives that occurred on 30 March at corporate offices in Paphos.

Another individual has been apprehended by authorities in connection with a violent attack targeting a commercial premises in the Paphos district in late March. The suspect is a 36-year-old man who was arrested yesterday evening at around 7:00 pm on the basis of a warrant obtained by investigators.
The incident took place in the early hours of 30 March, when a powerful explosion caused material damage to a building housing business offices. Broken glass at the main entrance and damage to the walls were the visible traces of the blast. Technicians who visited the scene established that the device had been placed outside the building and contained materials capable of causing fire, together with an industrial detonator.
The arrest of the 36-year-old came following testimony that was utilised by the Paphos TAE team during the course of their investigation. The arrested man is expected to be brought before a judicial officer today with a view to the issuing of a remand order.
It is noted that for the same incident there had previously been the detention of a 46-year-old in early April, who remains in custody. His case has already been referred to the District Court in the city.
The Paphos TAE continues to investigate the motives and any possible involvement of other persons.
