A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody in Paphos as he is being investigated for a shooting incident at a residence housing two people in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A 36-year-old man is being held in custody in Paphos following his arrest in connection with a shooting incident against a house that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, 24 June.
According to politis.com.cy, the incident took place around 3:50 in the morning on 24 June, when unknown assailants fired shots at a house belonging to two people, aged 41 and 37 respectively, in a community in Paphos district. The bullets caused damage to the wooden front door of the house.
Police authorities launched an investigation and that same afternoon, at approximately 7:15, officers from Paphos Crime Investigation Department located the suspect. His arrest took place following a warrant issued by a court, based on findings that emerged during the investigation.
After being arrested, the 36-year-old was remanded in custody. Paphos CID continues its examination of the case to fully clarify the matter.
