A 40-year-old woman was arrested in Limassol following an assault on a police officer, during which she bit him on the hand.

A 40-year-old woman was taken into custody in Limassol following an incident involving intoxication, assault and insults directed at police officers.
According to Philenews, police were notified at around 9:40 in the morning about an intoxicated woman in the street. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found her sitting on the pavement with visible signs of alcohol consumption.
After transferring her to the station for identification, the woman began shouting and insulting the police officers in English. During the process of calming her down, she assaulted a police officer, pushed him and bit him on the hand.
The 40-year-old was arrested and is being held in custody. The police officer who was assaulted was examined by a doctor and did not sustain serious injuries.
