Paphos police have arrested a 32-year-old suspect held at Central Prison in connection with four cases of arson and attempted property destruction committed in April and May 2026.

A 32-year-old man, who is already being held at Central Prison as a remand prisoner, has been arrested again by Paphos Police in connection with a series of offences he is alleged to have committed during the months of April and May of this year.
The arrest was carried out yesterday with a judicial warrant. According to the evidence from the investigation, the suspect faces charges relating to four separate cases. The offences are alleged to have been committed on 28 April, 30 April and 3 May, whilst there is a fourth case involving an incident on 13 May.
The offences include placing an explosive substance — specifically a hand grenade — in a residence, attempted property destruction using explosives, arson of ambulances at a private clinic, as well as possession and use of explosive substances. Witness testimony has been secured against the individual.
The Paphos Crime Investigation Department is continuing investigations for full clarification of the incidents.
