A 51-year-old man who had been wanted since July 2023 for drug importation, possession and supply offences and for participation in an organised crime group was located and arrested by police on 15 June 2026.

A 51-year-old man who had been sought for three years by Cypriot authorities was located and arrested by police officers on 15 June 2026. The arrested man was wanted in connection with an investigation concerning the importation, possession and supply of controlled substances, as well as participation in an organised crime group.
The case is being investigated by the Anti-Narcotics Service (ΥΚΑΝ), Nicosia District Unit. The authorities had released the personal details and photograph of the 51-year-old on 25 and 27 July 2023 as part of police investigations for the purpose of locating him.
The arrest of the wanted man was made pursuant to a court warrant. He was immediately placed in custody for the purposes of police examination.
According to Philenews, the ΥΚΑΝ investigation is examining the suspect's activities within a wider drugs trafficking network in Cyprus.
