The accident took place on Sunday afternoon at approximately 6:00 p.m. The minor was staying at the accommodation with his family. Shortly afterwards, at 6:40 p.m., the prosecuting authorities were notified of the incident. The child had already been taken to the General Hospital in the area by ambulance, but doctors were unable to save his life.

A few hours later, at 10:15 p.m., police proceeded to arrest the father. He faces serious charges, including causing death through dangerous or reckless behaviour, as well as neglect of duties as head of household and as a person responsible for the child's care.

The following day, the suspect is expected to appear before the local District Court. The prosecuting authorities intend to request that the judge issue a remand order to facilitate the investigation.
