Fourth arrest over attacks on delivery drivers in Mouttalos, Paphos
Police have arrested an 18-year-old as the fourth suspect in connection with robbery and assault on delivery drivers in Paphos on 18/08/2026. Five delivery drivers were injured in the incident.
Fourth arrest over attacks on delivery drivers in Paphos
Police have made an arrest of a fourth suspect in relation to a case of robbery and assault causing bodily harm that took place on 18 August 2026 in Paphos. According to Philenews, the suspect is an 18-year-old who was arrested around 2:30 p.m. after relevant testimony against him was secured. The three other individuals arrested earlier remain in custody pending investigation.
How events unfolded
Around 8:40 p.m. on 18 August, a 26-year-old food delivery driver went to an area of Mouttalos to deliver an order. Upon his arrival, an unknown man accompanied by three other people refused to pay and then attacked the delivery driver by throwing a stone at him.
The 26-year-old notified other colleagues, who rushed to the scene. At the same time, approximately ten unknown men appeared, some of whom were allegedly carrying metal objects. The unknown men attacked the delivery drivers and overturned their motorcycles, causing damage.
Subsequently, four of the perpetrators left in a vehicle and located a 22-year-old delivery driver who had just completed a delivery in Mouttalos. Three got out of the vehicle, beat him and robbed him of a sum of money and his mobile phone, before leaving the area.
Five injured, one remains hospitalised
A total of five delivery drivers were injured and were transferred by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital. Following their examination, various injuries were identified; four were discharged, whilst one remained for further hospitalisation.
The Crime Investigation Department of Paphos (CID) is investigating offences of conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, riotous behaviour, robbery, assault causing actual bodily harm, unlawful possession and carrying of an offensive weapon, common assault and malicious damage.
