In the Bavarian town of Donauwörth, a man became violent during a police operation. The 62-year-old kicked an officer in the head whilst being transported in the police vehicle. The officer sustained a minor injury.
The man had previously caused a disturbance in the access area of a local hospital, where he was apparently in a heavily intoxicated state. After he ignored an order to leave issued by the responding officers, he was taken into custody.
During the detention, the man insulted the officers multiple times and made statements hostile to the constitution. He also repeatedly spat in the face of a police officer. The confrontation escalated in the patrol car when the man kicked an officer in the head.
Investigations have now been launched against the 62-year-old on charges including resisting police officers.
