Bicycle thieves caught red-handed in Zorneding – two Stuttgart residents arrested
A neighbour witnessed the theft of two bicycles in Zorneding and alerted the owner. The owner pursued the perpetrators and handed them over to police.

According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, an alert neighbour witnessed two men stealing bicycles in Zorneding on Sunday evening, enabling their arrest.
At around 20:30, the neighbour on Bahnwiesenstraße noticed that two unknown men were showing unusually keen interest in two unsecured bicycles in front of a property. When the two men subsequently took the bikes, he immediately called the owner.
The owner encountered the suspects on the street and repeatedly demanded they return the bicycles. The men eventually complied with the demand, but then attempted to flee. The owner pursued them in his car, alerted police via emergency call, and held both men until officers arrived.
The suspects, aged 22 and 34, were provisionally arrested and taken to Poing police station. Investigation revealed that both are from Stuttgart and were working as assembly workers in the Zorneding region at the time of the offence. Following their interrogation, they were released.
